Lax Roundup: Huron boys, Pioneer girls lose close games

The Huron River Rats boys’ lacrosse traveled to Bedford to face the Kicking Mules on Saturday.

Jack Dively’s stunning 33-0 performance in the faceoff circle for Bedford proved insurmountable for the River Rats, who fell by a final score of 20-13.

Chad Aaronson turned in a strong offensive performance for Huron with eight goals and two assists.

Ian Tyburski led Bedford with 10 goals.

Girls

On Monday, Pioneer fell to Perrysburg 12-10 in a close non-league game.

Pioneer turned the ball over a season high 27 times, 17 of those coming in the first half.

Pioneer fought hard until the final horn, scoring two goals in the last 4 minutes, but ultimately ran out of possession opportunities at the end.

The Pioneer JV lost 3-2.
