Boys Lacrosse: Pioneer knocks off St. John’s Jesuit, 12-6

The Pioneer boys’ varsity lacrosse team withstood a late comeback to beat St. John’s Jesuit 12-6 on the road in Toledo.
The Pioneers jumped out to a 10-0 halftime lead thanks to Jack Reid’s five goal onslaught. Jack Zender tallied three goals in the half along with a pair from Matt Auer who was again dominant at face-offs.
The Titans played hard right to the end, scoring four of their six goals in the last stanza.
The Pioneer JV team defeated St. John’s Jesuit (Toledo) 5-2.
The next game for Pioneer is 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday at home against rival Skyline.
