Girls Lacrosse

The Huron girls’ lacrosse team continues to improve and make strides as the River Rats knocked off Dexter 12-11 on Wednesday.


Anna Kochanek and Ana Connolly each scored three goals to lead Huron. Georgiana Guenther and Mairead Erhardt each scored twice while Kate Powell and Miah McCallister each scored once. Anna Scott had seven ground balls in the win.

The Huron River Rat golf team was defeated in league play for the first time this year by Tecumseh 169-175 on Wednesday at Hantz Golf Club. This is the first league loss of the year for the River Rats.

Brandon Petzak led the Rats with a 2-over-par 38.

During the same match, Huron defeated Ypsilanti Community 175-313.

On Monday, Huron defeated Chelsea by a 161-169 margin at Leslie Park golf course. Huron was led by seniors Petzak and Quinn Tank who combined for an even-par round of golf.

Boys Lacrosse

The Pioneer boys’ lacrosse team remained undefeated in the SEC with a resounding 12-6 win over rival Skyline on Wednesday.
