Lacrosse: Pioneers lock up SEC title with win over Chelsea

 
 

The Pioneer boys’ lacrosse team secured the SEC championship on Friday night with a decisive 15-6 win over Chelsea.

The Pioneers had goals from six different players including five from Jack Reid and four from Noah Gago.
Pioneer took a 3-1 lead after the first period and never looked back. The Pioneers outscored the Bulldogs 6-1 in the second period for a 9-2 halftime lead and all but put the game away.

Pioneer outscored Chelsea 3-2 in the third and 3-2 in the fourth to lock up the game and the league title.
Pioneer played Monday at Saline.
