Season preview: Skyline tennis netting solid returns

Andy Kim begins his second year as coach of the Skyline tennis team. The Eagles have some solid returning players last year to build from and some depth to develop as the team looks to net a big season.

Top returning players for Skyline includes the talented Brian Carpenter. The senior will swing his racket at one singles and is a scholar-athlete at Skyline.

Also back is Timmy Kao. Another senior, Kao will play two singles and also is a scholar-athlete.

Top newcomers include Nikhil Gunaratham.

“We are much deeper team this year, and I’m very excited for what’s to come,” said Kim. “The keys to our success is hard work and teamwork.

The Eagles have already taken off on the season. Skyline took second at the Brighton quad on Aug. 16. Gunaratham and Matt Krivan won gold for the Eagles.
