Forsyth, Dudek lead Pioneers to first place at SEC Jamboree

The Pioneer girls’ cross country team pulled out a win in the second SEC Jamboree of the season, leading the field with 26 points. Saline was second with 34 points, Skyline third with 80 points, Huron fourth with 114 points and Monroe fifth with 119 points.

Bedford only had 4 finishers, so could not be scored. The Pioneers were again led by Anne Forsyth who won in 17:40.9.

Newcomer Zofia Dudek finished third overall in 18:40.7 in only her second 5km race.

Rounding out the scoring for the Pioneers were Libby Kos in 5th (19:21.7), Anna Vogel in 6th (19:30.3) and Mallory Dawes in 11th (19:51.0).

Also competing in the varsity race were Cammie Dalton (17th), Ella Ryan (22nd), Alice Glab (25th), Rachel Pacernick (27th) and Carina Sanborn (32nd).

The JV girls also had a great showing with many running their best times of the season. The top finishers in the JV race were Paige McCreadie (9th), Lauren Jamsen (10th), Nina Beardsley (13th), Sarah Baybeck (14th), Alexa Easter (18th), Amelia Catanzaro (20), and Sonia Glab (22th).
