May (21-27) the golf be with you – it certainly will in Ann Arbor.

The LPGA recently released its 2017-18 tour schedule and Travis Pointe Country Club will again play host to the top female golfers in the world. The LPGA Volvik Championship, developed from the desire to create a professional sports event that would benefit the local community, support charity, and grow the economy, will tee off in Ann Arbor on May 21-27, 2018.

Over 30,000 spectators are anticipated to attend the third annual LPGA Volvik Championship. This professional golf tournament will be internationally televised in over 150 countries and create a $20 million economic impact for southeast Michigan.

Being played through Memorial Day weekend, the event will raise awareness for charities, including those that benefit military families.

Shanshan Feng earned her first victory of 2017 at the LPGA Volvik Championship at Travis Pointe by setting a 72-hole Tournament scoring record at 20-under par. She won by two-strokes ahead of Minjee Lee and Sung Hyun Park. Jeong Eun Lee and Lizette Salas finished tied for fourth at 17-under par.

There are several different excellent ticket options available for the Volvik Championships. For more information, log onto http://volviklpga.com/tickets/
