Girls Basketball: Pioneers snap two-game losing streak, dunk Ypsilanti

 

The Pioneer girls’ basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak with a 52-19 victory Tuesday over host Ypsilanti Community.

The Pioneers turned a 15-3 first-quarter lead into a 33-8 halftime advantage. Pioneer outscored Ypsilanti 10-7 in the third quarter and 9-4 in the fourth quarter.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Freshman Felicia Stewart had a huge game for the visitors, finishing with a game-high 17 points. Asaria Turman also had a good game, finishing with 14 points.

Pioneer improved to 5-8 on the season and travels to Saline on Friday for an SEC Red matchup.
