Ann Arbor’s Ray’s Rags heading to Dexter for Spring Craft and Vendor Show

Raynette Kempf and her business “Ray’s Rags” is hitting the road but it won’t be a long road trip.

Ray’s Rags will be one of more than 80 vendors on hand next month at the annual  Dexter Community Education Spring Craft and Vendor Show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Saturday, March 10.

The show will be at Creekside Intermediate School in Dexter. Admission is $2 (kids are free). Visit the Easter Bunny from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

“Ray’s Rags” offers large stuffed animals, novelty pillows (lions, dogs, cats, silly beans and feet) and fabric pictures and sock dolls, sock monkeys and blankets.

“It started as a hobby and then I had three granddaughters to sew stuffed animals for,” said Raynette. “I’ve added a lot personal touches to my stuff which makes it unique.”

Raynette, who also does Dexter Daze, enjoys showcasing her items at shows and events.

“I love it when little kids come up and hug my large animals which are bigger than they are,” she says. “It makes it all worthwhile.”
