Boys Basketball: Skyline remains perfect, clinches SEC title

The Skyline boys’ basketball team kept on rolling and improved to 17-0 overall on the season with a comfortable 88-65 win over host Bedford on Tuesday night.

The Eagles took off with a 28-18 first-quarter lead and stretched it to 45-29 at halftime. Skyline, who outscored Bedford 21-18 in the third quarter and 22-18 in the final quarter, was able to continue making shots and attacking the basket throughout the game.

The win clinches the SEC Red title for Skyline with a 9-0 conference record. This is now back-to-back conference titles for the Eagles.

Skyline had three players score 20 or more points.

Brandon Wade continues his amazing senior year with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Senior guard Jack Ammerman scored 23 points with 9 assists and 2 rebounds.

Junior Ryan Wade had 24 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal.

Desean Munson, Robert Malcolm Jr, Jaylin Cooper, Charlie Fry, Chris Cayton and Spencer Morgan all had good contributions in the victory.

Skyline travels to Saline on Friday for the final conference game of the season.
