Boys Basketball: State playoff schedule tips off tonight for local teams

State-ranked and undefeated Skyline plays host to the Class A District 30 round featuring all three Ann Arbor public schools starting this week.

Skyline will play Pioneer in an opening-round game. The two teams will meet at 5 p.m. on Monday, March 5.


Pinckney will play Dexter at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 5.

The semifinals will be on Wednesday, March 7 with Romulus playing the Pioneer-Skyline winner at 5 p.m. and Huron playing the Pinckney-Dexter winner at 7 p.m.

The finals are at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 9.

The Skyline District winner heads to the pre-regional game at 6 p.m. on March 12 at Salem High School. Brighton and Howell are among the teams that could come out of that District. The Regional finals are March 14 at Salem.

The state quarterfinal games are March 20. The state semifinals and finals are March 22-24 at the Breslin Center in Lansing.

Class B-C

In Class B, Father Gabriel Richard gets a first-round bye and will face the Annapolis-Robichaud winner at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7 at Divine Child High School. The finals are March 9.

Ann Arbor Greenhills plays Canton Prep in a Class C district opener at Whitmore Lake at 6 p.m. on March 5. The winner plays Ypsilanti Arbor Prep on Wednesday, March 7. The finals are March 9.
