Golf: Eagles finish off undefeated season (again) in SEC dual-matches

The Skyline golf team teed up two events on Monday and had plenty of success on both courses.

Both the varsity and JV teams finished off a historic afternoon as both teams completed the SEC match season with a perfect 11-0 record. Last year was the first year for an undefeated record but this year is the second year in a row with undefeated seasons.

Back-to-back perfection for both teams!

Both the varsity and JV teams have the 18-hole SEC Championship tournament next week to finalize All-Conference team and individuals.

In extremely wet conditions at Lake Forest, the varsity team shot their low nine-hole round of the season with a 147 (program record is 145) to Pioneer’s 153 and Monroe’s 174.

Skyline’s Vimal Alokam fired a low-round 34 to lead the Eagles. Cam Cowland fired a 37 followed by Clay Pieszchala (38), Shaunak Bhagat (38) and CJ Bahr (44).

The JV team shot a 167 to Monroe’s 185.

The Skyline varsity team also had an 18-hole tournament today at Orchard Lake in wet conditions. The team finished tied for 14th out of 24 teams.

Team Score: 335
