Girls cross country: Pioneers take third at Bath Invitational

 
 

The Pioneer girls’ cross country team sprinted to a third-place finish last week at the Bret Clements Bath Invitational. The Pioneers finished with 83 points, taking third behind champion Northville (44) and East Grand Rapids (53) in the 13-team field.

Pioneer had two runners finish in the top 10 with freshman Sarah Forsyth taking fifth in 18:51.1 and junior Anna Vogel placing sixth in 18:52.6.

Freshman Charlotte Batra was 19th in 19:23.6. Senior Mallory Dawes was 25th in 19:41.8 and senior Emily Rennich was 28th in 19:52.6.

Junior Carina Sanborn was 56th (21;08.7), junior Lydia Valtadoros was 70th (21:32.2), junior Katrina Beardsley was 78th (21:46.9) and senior Ella Ryan was 91st (22:53.1).
