Boys Lacrosse: Pioneers score overtime win vs. Skyline

The Pioneer boys’ lacrosse team defeated rival Skyline 9-8 in overtime on Wednesday.

The Pioneers were led on offense by Jack Reid who finished the night with four goals and an assist as well as the stifling defensive combination of Jack Miling, Andrew Mills and Tim Markel.

Ethan Harding had a stellar night for Skyline netting six of their eight goals. The back-and-forth game required extra time to determine the winner coming down to a Nate Yuhas double-ricochet shot that bounced off the cross-bar then the back of the goalie’s helmet before finding the net.

The win keeps Pioneer undefeated in SEC competition this season heading into Friday’s matchup with Chelsea and a potential championship deciding contest against Saline on Monday.
