The Ann Arbor YMCA’s campgrounds on Dexter Townhall Road in Pinckney was bustling with families engaging in a number of fun activities such as archery, fishing, seed planting, and canoeing.
Many built sandcastles along the shoreline, worked on an egg drop rig in the shelter building designed to keep an egg from breaking when dropped twice from the shelter’s balcony 20 feet above ground, and just hung out at a picnic table eating kabobs.
Children who participated received stickers for each of the things they tried for placement on a progress badge.
