Boys Lacrosse: Pioneers cruise in playoff opener

 
 

The Pioneer boys’ lacrosse team began the 2017 MHSAA playoffs with a comfortable 18-0 win over newcomer Whitmore Lake in the Regional quarterfinals. Eleven different Pioneers tallied goals in the victory.

Senior Andrew Foster, junior Jack Reid and sophomore David Russman scored three goals apiece.

Senior goalie Tim Grobosky combined with sophomore Jackson Roberts for the shutout.

Next up for the Pioneers is the winner of the Plymouth/Salem quarterfinal. The semifinal game will take place at Canton High School on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m.
