Welcoming Week is a national initiative seeking to bring together immigrants, refugees, and native-born residents to raise awareness of the benefits of welcoming everyone.

Welcoming Week events celebrate the growing movement of inclusive communities that fully embrace New Americans and their contributions to the social fabric of our country.

On Sunday September 17 from 2 to 3 p.m. the Ann Arbor YMCA will host Many Faiths One Voice: Prayers for Unity at the West Park Band Shell, 215 Chapin Street, Ann Arbor 48103.

This event is free and open to the public.

Diverse faith leaders from across Washtenaw County will share messages of unity and local musician Terry Farmer will be singing some songs. We look forward to an interactive, participatory experience for everyone involved.
