The public is invited to learn more about the proposed City of Ann Arbor Unified Development Code. This product is the result of a multi-year zoning ordinance reorganization project (ZORO) to restructure 11 different chapters of City Code into a comprehensive, clear, and usable document that efficiently articulates the city’s current land use and development requirements.
The city is providing numerous opportunities and forums to learn more about the proposed reorganization and to provide feedback. To review the document in advance, please visit www.a2gov.org/ZORO, where the draft Unified Development Code and additional details are available.
A public meeting will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12 in the City Council chambers, located on the second floor of Larcom City Hall, 301 E. Huron St. This meeting will feature a presentation by the City Attorney’s Office and Planning Services Division on the goals of this work, the approach, the structure, and an overview of the Unified Development Code and how to use it. After the presentation, there will be time for questions and feedback.
There will be a series of drop-in office hours, all located at Larcom City Hall, where anyone can drop in for a one-on-one or small group conversation, to learn more about the Unified Development Code, pose questions and provide feedback. Representatives from the City Attorney’s Office and Planning Services Division will be available. No appointment necessary.
