Field Hockey: Field of local players show their talents in NCAA tournaments

 

The Michigan High School Field Hockey Association recently released a list of local players who participated in the NCAA Division 1 or Division 3 tournament Final Four or were NCAA champions.

Casie Ammerman – University of Michigan – 2017 NCAA Final Four participant, 2017 Big Ten Regular Season Champion, 2017 Big Ten Tournament Champion.  Ammerman graduated Huron High School in 2013 and was part of the 2010 and 2011 MHSFHA Division 1 State Championship Team and Captain of the 2012 MHSFHA Division 1 State Finalist Team.  She was also a member of the 2009 Division 1 MHSFHA State Finalist Team.  Ammerman received MHSFHA First Team All State honors in 2012.

Clare Brush – University of Michigan – 2017 NCAA Final Four participant, 2017 Big Ten Regular Season Champion, 2017 Big Ten Tournament Champion. Brush graduated from Pioneer High School in 2016 and was part of the 2012, 2014 and 2015 MHSFHA Division 1 State Championship Team.  She was also a member of the 2013 Division 1 State Finalist Team.  Brush received MHSFHA First Team All State honors in 2014 and 2015. She was M-Live player of the year in 2015.

Maya Gompper – University of Michigan – 2017 NCAA Final Four participant, 2017 Big Ten Regular Season Champion, 2017 Big Ten Tournament Champion. Gompper graduated from Pioneer High School in 2017 and was part of the 2014, 2015 and 2016 MHSFHA Division 1 State Championship Team.  Gompper received MHSFHA First Team All State honors in 2015 and 2016.

Abbey Hutton – University of Michigan – 2017 NCAA Final Four participant, 2017 Big Ten Regular Season Champion, 2017 Big Ten Tournament Champion.  Hutton graduate from Skyline High School in 2017 and was a member of the 2013 Division 2 State Championship team.  She was also a member of the 2014 MHSFHA Division 1 State Finalist Team.  Hutton received MHSFHA First Team All State honors in 2014, 2015 and 2016.   She was M-Live player of the year in 2016.

Emma Tamer – University of Michigan – 2017 NCAA Final Four participant, 2017 Big Ten Regular Season Champion, 2017 Big Ten Tournament Champion.  Tamer graduated Dexter High School in 2017 and was part of the 2014 MHSFHA Division 2 State Championship Team and the 2017 MHSFHA Division 1 State Finalist Team. Tamer received MHSFHA First Team All State honors in 2014 and 2016. She was M-Live player of the year in 2014.

Diana Milne – Middlebury College – 2017 NCAA Division III Champion, 2017 NESCAC Champion.  Milne graduated Dexter High School in 2017 and was part of the 2014 MHSFHA Division 2 State Championship Team and Captain of the 2017 MHSFHA Division 1 State Finalist Team.  Milne received MHSFHA First Team All State honors in 2015 and 2016.
