County Crime Blotter: Crime Slows Around Washtenaw

Crime was considerably lower in Dexter/Scio Township last week than in the two previous. However, a few incidents did occur.

Two domestic assaults were reported.

The first, involving a 55-year-old male from Ann Arbor, took place on Friday, Jan. 26, at 1:29 p.m. at the 6100 block of Jackson Rd. There were no injuries and the aggressor was not arrested.

A 57-year-old male from Dexter is the accused attacker in the second assault, which took place on Monday, Jan. 29, at 9:06 p.m., at the 5300 block of W. Huron River Dr. He was arrested, but luckily, the victim was not injured.

A vehicle, parked at a residence at the 8200 block of Gregory Rd., was broken into sometime overnight on Sunday, Jan. 28. The thief took the owner’s purse and its contents, including a wallet with money and credit cards, from the unlocked vehicle. Nothing else was stolen and no damage to the vehicle was reported.
