Girls Lacrosse: Late goals help lead Perrysburg over Pioneer

The Pioneer girls’ lacrosse team lost a close game to Perrysburg (Ohio) on Monday at Pioneer High School. The two schools battled in a back-and-forth game before the visitors from down south scored an 8-7 victory.

All seven of Pioneer’s goals were assisted.

But three defensive breakdowns led to Perrysburg’s final three goals.

Pioneer goalie Grace Kang made some key saves late in the contest to give Pioneer a chance at victory. Pioneer’s defense also came up with two possessions in the final minute, but all three Pioneer shots in the final minute went wide of the goal.

Pioneer’s next contest is Thursday against Bloomfield Hills Marian at Brother Rice at 4:30 p.m.
