Softball: Skyline runs into tough competition at Farmington Hills Tournament

 

The Skyline softball team ran into some quality opponents during their Saturday at the Farmington Hills Softball Tournament. The Eagles played four games during the day at Founders Sports Park.

The Eagles defeated Pinckney 6-4 as the Eagles racked up six hits and overcame three errors in the win. Skyline scored a run in the second, two in the third and three in the fourth.

Amber Hing and Madie Czjaka each had one RBI for the Eagles.

Mayah Alam earned the win from the circle, striking out five batters and threw 16 first-pitch strikes while allowing seven hits.

The Pinckney game was not only the Eagles’ only win of the day but the only game they scored a run.

Skyline opened with a 16-0 loss to Farmington Hills Mercy. Alam pitched and had three strikeouts.

The Eagles then lost 15-0 to Linden.

Madison Westhoven and Czjaka each had a hit for Skyline.

After the win against Pinckney, the Eagles lost 8-0 to South Lyon East.
