Tennis: Huron serves up dual-meet wins over Monroe, Skyline  


The Huron girls’ tennis team continues to serve up aces as the River Rats ended the week with a pair of impressive wins.

On Friday, Huron swept SEC foe Monroe 8-0. Even with a short-handed team, the girls dominated all the flights. Brooke Brenner and Ayla Soofi did a great job in No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles.

On Thursday, River Rats faced a tougher opponent and a more important opponent with crosstown rivals Skyline. Huron swept the singles matches as they pulled off a solid 5-3 win over the Eagles.

The highlight of the match for Huron came at No. 2 doubles as Carmen Giger and Cindy Liu played a tough match in losing two tie-breakers in both sets.
