Dexter Ann Arbor Road Construction
The Road Commission has announced that the Dexter Ann Arbor Road resurfacing project will begin Monday, May 7, 2018. The Washtenaw County Road Commission will be managing the project to pulverize and resurface Dexter-Ann Arbor Road from Zeeb to Dan Hoey/Ryan Dr. The project should take approximately four weeks to complete. Dexter-Ann Arbor Road will be closed to thru traffic during the project.
A detour will be posted for all through traffic. All property owners and residents internal to the project limits will be provided access to and from their property by the contractor.
Residents of Dexter Crossing and Victoria Condos will need to use the subdivision entrance off of Dan Hoey.
The road improvements are expected to take approximately three to four weeks. However, all dates are tentative and subject to change due to weather conditions.
Dexter Townhall Road Construction
Dexter Townhall Road will be closed between North Territorial Rd and Cedar Rd for resurfacing. The project will begin Monday, May 7, 2018 and is expected to be completed May 16. A detour route is posted.
Trinkle Road Closure
Trinkle Road will be close between Freer Rd and Fletcher Rd on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for the 29th annual St. Joseph Mercy Health Chelsea Heart & Sole Run, Walk, Bike.
Baker Road Roundabouts Public Information Meeting
A public information meeting on the Baker Road roundabouts project will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 6 pm at Creekside Intermediate School – 2615 Baker. This project includes the installation of roundabouts at Baker and Shield and Baker and Dan Hoey. The project was designed to improve the turning radius at Dan Hoey and Baker for large trucks heading to the Dexter Business and Research Park and improve the safety for vehicles turning left from Baker onto Shield. It also adds sidewalks to improve pedestrian connectivity. Construction is expected to start in mid-June once school is out for the summer. Baker Rd. will be closed to thru traffic from just south of Shield to north of Dan Hoey.
Baker Road from Dan Hoey to Grand will also be resurfaced as part of the roundabouts project.
