Golf: Skyline fires best score of the year to win Bedford Tournament


The Skyline varsity golf team fired its best 18-hole team score on Saturday to capture the Bedford Golf Tournament.

The Eagles fired a 299, one shot better than their previous best and only seven shots off the program’s best score ever.

Skyline beat 13 other schools during wet and rainy conditions.

Cameron Cowland, Shaunak Bhagat and Vimal Alokam all were top 10 medalists.

The Eagles also improved to 9-0 on the season with a pair of wins on May 10 against Lincoln and Pinckney at Pine View in Ypsilanti. Skyline fired a nine-hole score of 159 to Pinckney (169) and Lincoln (210.)
