Now that summer is here, there is so much to fill your sunny days– from movies, live music and exhibits to theatre, dance and more. Here are a few fun events to mark on your calendars:
Manchester Village Farmer’s Market (Thursday evenings through Oct. 4): In Adams Park, stop by and shop for produce and crafts from more than 30 local farmers and artisans.
Cinetopia Film Festival (May 31 to June 10): Get your film fix at this festival that features the best feature-length dramas, comedies and documentaries from the world’s best film festivals (e.g. Sundance, Cannes, Venice, Toronto, Berlin, SXSW, Tribeca, etc.). Get a look at the schedule!
Ann Arbor Summer Festival (June 1 to July 4): Head to Ingalls Mall on the University of Michigan campus in A2 this summer for live music, film screenings, fun activities for the kiddos, yoga classes, etc. Check out the calendar!
Saline Celtic Festival (July 13 & 14): In addition to a rich blend of Celtic music and dance, visitors can enjoy old Celtic favorites like jousting, Irish football, ancient athletics, sheepherding and more.
Chelsea Sounds & Sights Festival (July 26 to 28): This two-day, three-night festival features live music, a social tent, kids’ entertainment and activities, a classic car show and much more!
Milan Bluegrass Festival (Aug. 1 to 4): Bluegrass music is the name of the game at this premier festival featuring prominent musical acts, as well as up-and-comers. It’s a part of the 2018 Milan Festival Series.
Paint Dexter | Plein Air Festival (Aug. 13 to 18): This special art fest allows painters to convene in the delightful town of Dexter for a week and put their skills on display. Get the scoop!
Ypsilanti Heritage, Arts and Entertainment Festival (Aug. 24 – 26): Check out crafts, local artists, yummy food, live music, children’s activities (hot air balloon rides, anyone?) and more in downtown Ypsi!
