This event will be held next Thursday & Friday Aug. 2 and 3 at the historic Huron Hills Golf Course. Juniors will play either 36 holes (age 12 & up) or 14 holes (12 & under) over the two days – depending on division. This is a fun event for kids and we have spots left so register today. Shop + eat local at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market
The August Food Truck Rally is Wednesday, Aug. 1, 5-8 p.m. With over 14 trucks and carts, there’s plenty of food, live music, and fun. Shop local at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market. It’s the mid-summer and we have plenty to offer. Sweet corn, peaches, peppers, tomatoes, flowers, artisan products and more. Free parking at the Ann and Ashley structure on Saturdays, and in the Market lot on Wednesdays. Wednesdays and Saturdays, 7 a.m.-3 p.m.

Dive-in Movie
Join us tomorrow at Fuller Park Pool for the Dive-in Movie, Saturday, July 28 at 8:30 p.m. In addition to showing “The Little Mermaid,” we will also be offering attendees the chance to try our mermaid and mer-man tails we use in our classes. 1519 Fuller Rd.

Sign up today for swim lessons
Join us for swim lessons at Buhr Park and Veterans Memorial Park Pools during session #4, Aug. 6-16. Sign up at Group lessons are for children ages 6 months up. Ability requirements must be honored unless prior instructor approval is granted. Register at any city pool during public swim time, by phone or online. Fees: $45 resident/$55 nonresident. Concerts in the Park
A free series we host in Burns Park adjacent to the Ann Arbor Senior Center. The first concert is this Sunday, July 29 at 3 p.m. featuring local favorite Gemini. We’re also be holding a food drive to support the Community Action Network food pantry. Non-perishable items can be donated at the concert and/or during regular business hours at the senior center (1320 Baldwin Ave.)

GIVE 365 Volunteers Needed
* Farmers Market Food Truck Rally, Wednesday, Aug. 1, for shifts from 4-9 p.m. The food truck rallies provide fun and entertainment for the whole family! Volunteers are needed to assist with Zero Waste stations, set up, and take down.  If you are able to help, contact or 734.794.6445.

* Splash Day at Buhr Park Pool, Saturday, Aug. 4, for shifts from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Join us for a fun-filled volunteer opportunity leading games and activities for kids both in and out of the water at one of our three pools. Set-up and take-down times are included, and not all volunteers will need to know how to swim. This event is best for individual volunteers or small groups.

* Love The River Day, Monday, Aug. 6, 1-3 p.m. at Gallup Park Canoe Livery. Want to canoe around the river and enjoy nature while cleaning up trash and taking care of our beautiful Huron River? Love the River Days give individual volunteers and pairs of volunteers (not groups) the chance to come help out too! We supply trash pickers, trash bags and free boat rentals for river volunteers. * Love a Park Day, Wednesday, Aug. 8, 3-5 p.m. Scheffler Park. 3075 Edgewood Drive. Get your hands dirty and help up spread wood chips on the playground. Please wear close-toed shoes, comfortable clothing and get ready to make a difference. RSVP to or 734.794.6445.

Huron Hills and Leslie Park Golf Courses have a new tee time reservation system. The first time you sign up using this new system you’ll have to enter any previous information we may have already had on file, but, as a reward you’ll receive a 2018 discount of 15 percent off the walking portion of your greens fee.

Red Cross Disaster Preparedness and Hands-Only CPR
Join us Saturday, Aug. 4 for both free programs. The disaster preparedness course educates you on how to build a disaster preparedness kit, learn how and when to use a fire extinguisher and information on how to receive a free home visit for smoke alarm installation. 10-11 a.m. Then the Red Cross Hands-Only CPR class teaches you in 45 minutes how to save a life using non-rescue breath CPR or an AED.
