The latest updates on road construction in our area:
I-94 westbound will be closed from M-14 to US-23 for the MDOT resurfacing project beginning 10:00 pm Friday, 08-24-18, until 5:00 am Monday, 08-27-18. Motorists can expect nightly lane and ramp closures along with weekend freeway closures for prep work and then resurfacing through November 1.
Dexter-Chelsea Rd will be closed between Fletcher Rd and Lima Center Rd for railroad crossing improvements. The posted detour for this closure is Dancer Road to Jackson Road to Freer Road. Work will begin 08-27-18 and is expected to be completed by 09-01-18.
Dexter-Chelsea Rd between Freer Rd and Steinbach Rd will continue to have intermittent lane closure while a DTE gas line is replaced. Work is expected to be finished 10-01-18.
Dexter-Pinckney Rd between Island Lake Rd and North Territorial Rd will be closed 08-28-18 for preventive maintenance chip sealing. The road will be open later in the day when the project is completed.
Island Lake Rd between Dexter-Pinckney Rd and East Ridge Dr will be closed 08-28-18 for preventive maintenance chip sealing. The road will be open later in the day when the project is completed.
North Territorial Rd will be closed between M-52 and Hankerd Rd for preventive maintenance chip sealing beginning 08-29-18. The project is expected to be completed the next day 08-29-18.
North Territorial Rd will have intermittent lane closures between Mast Rd and Donovan Rd for resurfacing. The project is expected to be completed 08-31-18.
Liberty Rd will be closed between Wagner Rd and Zeeb Rd for preventive maintenance chip sealing on 08-30-18 and reopen later in the day when the project is completed.
Baker Rd continues to be closed for the installation of the two roundabouts at Dan Hoey Rd and Shield Rd. The project is scheduled to be completed 08-31-18. A detour is posted.
Baker Rd will have intermittent lane restrictions for milling and resurfacing between Dan Hoey Rd and Grand St beginning 08-24-18. The project is expected to be finished 08-31-18. WCRC warns motorists to expect delays due to lane restrictions and encourage them to find alternate routes.
Jackson Rd at Wagner Rd will have intermittent lane closures to improve pedestrian crossings. Work is expected to be finished 08-30-18.
Jackson Rd at Staebler Rd will have intermittent lane closures for the construction of a right-turn lane. The project is expected to be finished 08-30-18.
Mast Rd will be closed beginning 08-08-18 from North Territorial Rd to Strawberry Lake Rd for culvert replacement. The project is scheduled to be completed mid-September.
Mast Rd will be closed from the City of Dexter to North Territorial Rd on 08-27-18 for preventive maintenance chip sealing. The road will reopen later in the day when the project is completed.
Valentine Rd will be closed between Jennings Rd and Scully Rd for limestone resurfacing beginning 08-27-18. The project is expected to be completed 09-05-18.
Dan Hoey Rd will remain closed for reconstruction that includes turning lanes for ease and efficiency of increased traffic flow with the new elementary school. Work is expected to be finished 09-2-18. This is a project of Granger Construction as part of the new elementary school construction.
