Projects are beginning to dwindle and we’ve got a lot of new pavement in the area.
Here are the latest updates on road construction around Dexter:
New Projects
Baker Road will have lane restrictions with portions of the road closed from Grand St to Shield Rd for completion of the pavement markings. The project will begin at 7:00 pm Friday 09-07-18 and be completed by 5 am Saturday morning 09-08-18.
Liberty Road will undergo preventive maintenance chipseal between Wagner Rd and Zeeb Rd on 09-12-18. The road will not be closed for the project and is expected to be finished the same day.
Ongoing Projects
Dexter-Chelsea Rd between Freer Rd and Steinbach Rd will continue to have intermittent lane closure while a DTE gas line is replaced. Work is expected to be finished 10-01-18.
Jackson Rd at Wagner Rd will have intermittent lane closures to improve pedestrian crossings. Work is expected to be finished mid-September.
Mast Rd remains closed from North Territorial Rd to Strawberry Lake Rd for culvert replacement. The project has experienced a work stoppage due to a labor dispute.
Finished Projects
Dexter-Chelsea Rd will be closed between Fletcher Rd and Lima Center Rd for railroad crossing improvements. The posted detour for this closure is Dancer Road to Jackson Road to Freer Road. Work will begin 08-27-18 and is expected to be completed by 09-05-18.
Valentine Rd will be closed between Jennings Rd and Scully Rd for limestone resurfacing beginning 08-27-18. The project is expected to be completed 09-05-18.
North Territorial Rd will have intermittent lane closures between Mast Rd and Donovan Rd for resurfacing. The project is expected to be completed 09-07-18.
