CTN Update: Closed Captioning of Meetings

The City of Ann Arbor continues to seek ways to make engagement opportunities more inclusive for the public. Sign language interpreters and assistive technology have both been provided at meetings upon request for decades. But these accommodations only help those attending meetings in person.

Ann Arbor Community Television Network (CTN) has provided closed captioning of the Commission on Disability Issues meetings for several years, and last October, CTN began closed captioning City Council meetings. Now, closed captioning is in place for Planning Commission meetings, too.

The next Planning Commission meeting takes place, and airs live on CTN, Tuesday, Oct. 2 at 7 p.m.

City of Ann Arbor meetings can be viewed on CTN Comcast Channel 16 for and AT&T U-verse Channel 99, and also live or on demand at https://a2ctn.viebit.com/
