1065 Chestnut Street, Ann Arbor

Two inspiring projects are on display in this Ann Arbor hills home. A second story was added to the 1956 brick ranch home, yielding two spacious bedrooms, a sitting area, and an eye-catching bathroom. A new front entry was added on with a walnut and glass floating staircase to the new second floor, as well as a light filled entry with beautiful bamboo and tile details.

We were invited back for a second project, and completely renovated the master suite. Come see a modern detailed bathroom, the 190 square foot walk-in closet that sports an island, window seat, custom crafted built-ins, and its own closet (cedar lined).

This early 1900’s dairy farm offered opportunity to live on an incredible property. The house had 5 bedrooms, 2 baths and a pass thru fireplace but today’s busy life styles demanded the old house work harder. so, we opened the walls, raised the roof and brought the sun in! The well-placed kitchen addition boasts soaring southern windows and the walls removed allow that incredible fireplace to be seen from all four main rooms.

The hardwood floors salvaged and extended throughout the space look as though they were always there. The kitchen’s farmhouse sink and beautiful cottage cabinetry contrast luxuries like stainless steel appliances, a wine fridge, built-in microwave and Quartz countertops. Custom coat and shoe bench make getting out the door fast and a new laundry room with custom dog wash make country family living easy.
