More than $1 Million Awarded to Washtenaw County in State Arts & Cultural Grants

 

Washtenaw County artists, as well as arts and cultural organizations, will receive more than $1 million in grants from the MCACA for the FY2019 funding cycle.

Thirty-two Washtenaw County-based organizations are receiving grants for operational and project support, capital improvements, and arts in education programs. Washtenaw County received the third highest funding allocation in the state following Wayne ($2.49M) and Kent ($1.23M) counties.

Organizations receiving grants included the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum, The Ark, Ann Arbor Art Center, 826 Michigan Inc., Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra and the Ann Arbor Street Fair.
