Family Harvest Picnic includes free dinner, talk with local farmers

The Washtenaw County Farm Bureau Young Farmer Committee will host a Harvest Picnic for local families to enjoy on Sunday, Oct. 7 at Hilltop Greenhouse in Ann Arbor (8996 West Liberty Rd., Ann Arbor, MI).

This is a free event for the whole family to enjoy!

This will be a great opportunity to come and meet local farmers and hear about what they are doing to keep up with modern agriculture. The event will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and includes a FREE dinner, which starts at 5 p.m.

Following dinner, there will be a panel discussion for attendees to ask our panel of young farmers, mothers, and distinguished agriculturalists any questions they have about how your food made it onto your plate, and what sorts of decisions go into their own food purchases. During this time, there will be fun, supervised activities available for your children to enjoy.

Following the panel discussion we will also be handing out door prizes.  In order to help us plan for food, we kindly ask that you register for the event at:

. We hope to see you there!
