Division 4 Tennis: FGR, Greenhills net trip to the state finals

 

Ann Arbor Greenhills not only hosted a Division 4 Regionals on Thursday – they dominated the tournament by winning all four singles events AND all four doubles events. Now that’s impressive!

Greenhills cruised into the state finals by finishing first at the Regionals. Father Gabriel Richard also earned a trip to the state finals with a strong showing at Regionals.

Greenhills individual winners were Sahil Deenadayalu at one singles, Kaan Oral at two singles, Mert Oral at three singles and Taha Zirapury at four singles. In doubles, Greenhills netted first places from Trey Feldeisen / Henry Branch at one doubles; Drake Rosenberg / Joey Formicola at two doubles; Nathan Rosenberg / Finn Feldeisen at three doubles; and Harrison Li / Alex Schwendeman at four doubles.

FGR had flight runner-ups from Ian Sood at one singles, Tommy Heegan at two singles and Bryce Grover and Ryan Eaton at one doubles.

Also earning trips to the state finals were Rafid Farjo at three singles; Michael Swortzel at four singles; Tyler Fioritto / Mason Daleiden at two doubles; Tyler Zucks / Brady Karcher at three doubles; and Patrick Schubert / Jonathan Pollyn at four doubles.

The Division 4 tennis finals are Oct. 19-20 at Kalamazoo College.
