Boys Cross Country: Greenhills finish 11th at Division 3 state finals

 

The Greenhills boys’ cross country team finished a great run this season by taking 11th place at the MHSAA Division 3 cross country finals on Saturday at Michigan International Speedway.

Caro took first place overall with 61 points after taking three of the top 11 spots. Pewamo-Westphalia was second (100) and Shepherd took third (195).

Greenhills finished with 352 points to take 11th place.

The Gryphons were led by senior Vincent Vermeulen, who took 35th place overall with a time of 17 minutes, 14.5 seconds.

Senior Andrew Angold-Stephens was second in 17:30.3 and senior Jake Zell was third in 18:00.9.

Junior Alex Allman was 89th (18:10.0), junior Alan Atkinsmith was 92nd (18:11.6), senior Nicholas Koh was 119th (18:37.8) and junior Johnny Ellsworth was 122nd (18:38.6).
