Basketball: Annual Ann Arbor Classic features full day of local hoops

 
 

It’s not March but it’s time for some local basketball madness – and that’s a good thing.

Huron High School will host the annual Ann Arbor Classic on Saturday with a full day of basketball action taking place in two gyms. The tournament features both boys and girls basketball programs from Huron, Skyline  and Pioneer.

All varsity games will take place in the Huron main gym. All junior varsity games will take place in the Huron auxiliary gym.

Varsity

The day begins at 11 a.m. with the Huron girls playing River Rouge. The next game features the Skyline girls playing Cass Tech at 1 p.m.

At 3 p.m., the Pioneer boys’ team will play Grosse Pointe North. The Huron boys will play Henry Ford at 5 p.m. The final game features the Skyline boys taking on Detroit Country Day at 7 p.m.

Junior Varsity

The day begins at 11 a.m. with the Skyline girls playing Cass Tech. The next game features the Huron girls playing River Rouge at 1 p.m. The Huron boys will play Henry Ford at 3 p.m.; the Skyline boys play Central Academy at 5 p.m.; and the Pioneer boys play Grosse Pointe North at 7 p.m.
