Outside the Box for Christmas: Makerworks Craft Show features many local artists

How about a “creative Christmas?” How what about putting a little artistic flair into the holidays? How about presenting a local artist as a present for under the tree? How about all of the above!

The Makerworks Craft Show, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 15, will feature what local makers have been creating – both at Maker Works and elsewhere. Get unique, local gifts for giving or maybe a treat just for you!

The craft show will again be set up in the Makerworks conference room and common area.

Artists displaying their works include Sophie Grillet, Holden Collins, Sue Burrison, Saving Throw Pillows, 3~Ring Traveling Apothecary, Melissa Thomas, Becky Grover Designs, Felted Sky Studio, Kathy Malone, Board and Screwed Creations, Lauren Marie Hughes, Long Distance, Sharon Que and Blue Dot Maps.

Grillet will be joining with other vendors, with her math and science related 3D art, as well as some digital pictures to hang on the wall, at the annual Makerworks Craft Show.

Makersworks is located at  3765 Plaza Dr., Ann Ann Arbor. For more information, call (734) 222-4911.

MAIN PHOTO: By Sophie Grillet: Lights created using vintage lightbulbs and other shiny objects. Great gift for any age or gender – night light, dining table centerpiece, low light for chatting in the living room with guests, or watching a movie in the TV room.
