DCP Youth Theater Presents “Snow White and the Dancing Dwarfs”

Is there anything happier than seeing kids sing and dance?

Dexter Community Players Youth Theater is energizing the familiar story with fun and frolic. Come see for yourselves as the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale of Snow White, her evil stepmother, the all-knowing mirror, and the handsome (but not-too-brainy) prince, step their way back into your hearts and imagination.

Snow White and the Dancing Dwarfs is DCP’s second youth production and first youth musical. Dexter’s local theater troupe conceived the Youth Theater in response to a large interest from youth and kids wanting to be a part of DCP productions. The entire cast for this show is between the ages of 5 and 18.

DCP President Abby Briggs say,
“Last year after listening to the input from our community and realizing the amount of youth looking for theater opportunities, the board decided to produce our first ever youth theater production: Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. It really was an experiment, we had fun and learned a lot. We are putting all we learned into action with Snow White. Our director Deric Prieskorn is a pre-school teacher during the day. He and his assistant director Joy Gee have had so much fun teaching this group of talented kids the magic of theater and can’t wait for everyone to see the final product.”
The show dates are January 25 and 26 at 7 pm and January 26 and 27 at 2 pm. Tickets are available at DCP.yapsody.com, at Busch’s or at the door.
