Road work ahead: Ann Arbor construction ​updates  

 

Huron Pkwy from Hubbard to Baxter: This project, originally scheduled to begin Jan. 22, was delayed because of poor weather conditions​. Through Friday, Feb. 8, 2019. Northbound right lane of Huron Parkway between Hubbard and Baxter will be closed to traffic for electrical work.

Additional congestion is expected. Drivers should seek alternate routes. In addition, the ​sidewalk adjacent to the road will also be closed and pedestrians directed to the other side of Huron Parkwa​y.​

South State St. from Granger to Stimson: Through Friday, Feb. 15, 2019Both directions will be closed to traffic for the installation​ of a duct bank for DTE.

Southbound South State Street will be detoured south on Packard Street, west on East Stadium Blvd, south on South Industrial Highway, west on Stimson and back to South State St. Northbound South State St. will be detoured east on Stimson, north on South Industrial Parkway, east on East Stadium Blvd., north on Packard, and back to South State St. South State St. will be fully open to traffic between Stimson Street and East Eisenhower Blvd. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on both sides of the road.

Additionally, Henry will temporarily become a two-way street between South State St. and White for the purposes of maintaining access to residential driveways for the duration of the South State St. closure.

Only local traffic will be permitted on South State St. between Granger and Stimson for access to driveways.

To maintain the safety of all, please reduce speeds and drive cautiously through the work zone. We thank you in advance for your patience.​​
