The Pioneer boys’ swimming and diving team swam past Bedford in an SEC Red Division dual-meet on Tuesday night. The Pioneers finished first in every event on their way to a 142-44 victory.
The 200 medley relay team of Cameron Williston, Matthew Segal, Robert Yang and Caleb Rice touched first in 1 minute, 42.06 seconds.
The Pioneers went one-two in the 200 freestyle with Gabriel Labadie (1:52.52) and Ryan Hume (1:52.75).
In the IM, Williston took first in 2:02.02 with teammate Sung-Jae Lee in third (2:12.68).
The Pioneers took the top five spots in the 50 free: Jack DeBona was first (23.30), Henry Cramer second (23.42), Trent Hitchins third (23.56), Henri Schneehagen fourth (23.74) and Jack Shemke fifth (23.79).
Cole Tremewan won diving with 283.80 points with teammate Max Rolla-Mullis in second (210.40).
Segal took first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 54.43. Williston was third in 56.12.
The Pioneers swept the 100 freestyle with Luis Miranda (50.05), Caleb Rice (50.96), Vaughn Hajra (51.33) and Henri Schneehagen (52.27).
Pioneer also took the top four spots in the 500 free with Ethan Hume (5:04.96), Jack Shemke (5:09.34), Kenji Wagner (5:12.16) and Matthew DeBona (5:18.04).
The Pioneers won the 200 free relay as the team of Hitchins, Hajra, Miranda and Anthony McDonough took first in 1:31.98. The team of Segal, Yang, Alex Farmer and Anthony Gibbons was second in 1:33.38.
Rice won the backstroke in 56.25 with Ryan Hume in second (56.28).
Miranda won the breaststroke in 1:04.38 with Farmer in second (1:06.05).
Pioneer (McDonough, Segal, Rice and Miranda) won the 400 free relay in 3:24.28. The team of Ethan Hume, Ryan Hume, Williston and Yang took second in 3:29.22.
