Boys Swimming: Skyline races past Bedford in SEC dual-meet

 

The Skyline boys’ swimming and diving team made quick work of Bedford last Thursday in an SEC dual-meet at Bedford. The Eagles landed in the win column with a 102-81 victory over the Kicking Mules.

The Skyline foursome of Ben Kurniawan, Keith Kozma, Ben Keith and Kyle Tschannen finished first in the 200 medley relay in 1 minute, 40.95 seconds.
Kozma jumped right back in the water and won the 200 freestyle in 1:47.96. Daniel Koselka was third in 2:00.92.

Kurniawan took first in the IM in 2:03.32.

Tschannen placed second in the 50 free in 22.38.

No surprise in diving as defending state champion Henry Schirmer took first with 316.71 points. Andrew Ceely was third (189.05).

Keith won the butterfly in 53.35. John Evangelista was third in 1:01.56.
In the 100 free, Kurniawan was second in 49.83.

Tschannen went 5:09.42 to finish first in the 500 free. Koselka was third for the Eagles in 5:28.17.

Skyline’s 200 free relay team of Kyle Rodriquez, Keshav Jogaratnam, Nick Partridge and John Evangelista took second in 1:42.86.

Keith took second in the backstroke in 57.76.

The Eagles went one-two in the breaststroke with Kozma (1:02.60) and Daniel Osterholzer (1:09.78).

Skyline won the 400 free relay as the team of Tschannen, Kurniawan, Keith and Kozma went 3:23.68.
