Day Camps/Summer Registration – Don’t miss out!
We offer so many great programs and events in the Ann Arbor parks system. Golf lessons and tournaments, mermaid and merman classes, learn-to-swim lessons, volunteer opportunities, canoe/kayak and stand-up paddle board sessions and more. You’ll find all of these listed in the new 72-page parks guide available online or in person at any parks facility. We also are taking registrations for our summer day camps at Buhr and Fuller Park pools and Huron Hills Golf Course (http://www.a2gov.org/camps). We’re here year-round at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market
Come visit the Ann Arbor Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. Our loyal vendors are here with loads of market goodies – fresh micro greens, farm fresh produce, apples, cider, polish food, croissants, fresh baked bread, soy candles, locally-raised meats, eggs and more. Grab a hot RoosRoast coffee or hot Nemeth Orchard deluxe hot cider to warm up your day. You’ll find free parking in the market lot, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.

NEW Drop-in Hockey Opportunity
Starting Feb. 25 Buhr Park Outdoor Ice Arena will begin offering all-ages drop-in hockey from 9-10 p.m. every Monday night. We hope to see you and a friend there! 2751 Packard Road.

Take private learn-to-swim lessons
Did you know Mack Indoor Pool offers private swim lessons (one participant only) for swimmers ages 3 to adult? We have fantastic instructors at great prices. Each private lesson is 30-minutes long and customized to meet the needs of the swimming participant. Half hour; $15 resident/$18 nonresident. Register for five lessons, get one free or register for 10 lessons, get three free. (All lessons must be registered for at the same time and must be paid in full to be eligible for the free lessons.) http://www.a2gov.org/parksregister

Golf League Openings at Leslie Park Golf Course
We have the following league time slots available at LPGC: Tuesdays, 3:30-4:546 p.m.; Wednesdays, 3:30-5:20 p.m. and Wednesdays 5:52, 6 p.m. and 6:08 p.m. Monday-Thursday morning spots are also available for those interested in daytime leagues. Do you have 8, 16 or even 40 golfers? Email dkelly@a2gov.org for more information and ask about how you can get free riding carts for your league!

Rental Opportunities for Special Events/Meetings
The Ann Arbor Senior Center is a great venue option for meetings, service club organizations, showers, graduations, birthdays, anniversaries, concert and jam groups, cultural arts clubs, retirements, fundraisers and more. Natural Area Preservation Events
Winter Nature Walk, Sunday, Feb. 24, Furstenberg Nature Area, 10 a.m.-noon. Want to learn more about how to identify different types of trees without their leaves? Can you tell the native species from the non-native? Kick off National Invasive Species Awareness week with us by learning to identify native and non-native trees and shrubs in the winter. Please dress for the weather and be prepared for a long hike. Meet at the parking lot off Fuller Road

Stewardship Workdays National Invasive Species Awareness Week
It’s National Invasive Species Awareness Week! Invasive species are among the greatest threats to our native biodiversity. Each morning this week we will be working to remove non-native invasive species such as honeysuckle and buckthorn from Ann Arbor’s Nature Areas. Join us to improve habitat in our city. Please dress in layers and wear shoes suitable for snow or wet ground. All participants must complete a release form, and all minors should be accompanied by a guardian. Tools, snacks, and know-how provided.

* Monday, Feb. 25, 10 a..m.-noon, Oakwoods Nature Area. Meet at the park entrance off of Dunwoodie.

* Tuesday, Feb. 26, Dhu Varren Woods Nature Area, 10 a.m.-noon. Meet at the intersection of Birchwood Drive and Dhu Varren Road.

* Wednesday, Feb. 27, Leslie Woods Nature Area, 10 a.m.-noon. Meet us at the park entrance at the north end of Upland Drive, north of Plymouth Road.

* Thursday, Feb. 28, Argo Nature Area, 10 a.m.-noon. Meet in the parking lot north of the Argo Canoe Livery, off Longshore Drive.

* Friday, March 1, Arbor Hills Nature Area, 10 a.m.-noon. Meet at the park entrance on Ashburnam.

* Saturday, March 2, Furstenberg Nature Area, 10 a.m.-noon.  Meet in the parking lot off Fuller Road.
