The Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Shop is looking to increase the number of “helping hands” by way of volunteers. It’s not only a chance to give back to your community and the local schools, but the thrift shop offers a friendly and enjoyable working environment and a chance to meet a lot of wonderful people.
“If you have a few hours a week, we have tasks that are calling your name,” says Paulette Brown of the AAPTO Thrift Shop. “Tasks range from sorting and processing incoming donations to organizing and stocking the sales floor.”
The AAPTO Thrift Shop will host an “open call” on Sunday, March 17 at 5 p.m., and again on Wednesday, March 20 at 7 p.m.
Please join the group for an introduction to the workings of the shop and their volunteer program.
For those who can’t make it but are interested in helping, check out the volunteer page on their website at a2ptothriftshop.org, or call the volunteer manager at 734-996-9155.
The Ann Arbor PTO Thrift Shop is a nonprofit thrift shop promoting equity in our community by supporting Ann Arbor Public Schools parent teacher organizations and student activities for over 25 years.
