Spring is sprung! It’s time to feed the soul with something beautiful. Art and nature will clear your mind of life’s clutter. Breathe in and enjoy Westside Art Hop, a local art walk in neighborhood homes, studios, porches, garages, and yards in leafy Ann Arbor from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Sunday, May 19.
In a friendly, neighborhood atmosphere, you can stroll around and explore artwork ranging from inexpensive cards and gifts to spectacular fine art to transform your home. Choices include paintings and drawings, photography, decorative and functional glass, metal and wood, table-top sculpture, mosaics, fine jewelry, tile work, kaleidoscopes, practical pottery, wearable and decorative fiber arts including scarves, quilts, and super cute felted frogs.
Westside Art Hop is proud to present a diverse but mostly local group of artists, whose work is juried to ensure quality. We are partnered with several local businesses who are offering deals to Art Hop visitors. We will be providing stickers for our patrons to claim their deals from local businesses.
Westside Art Hop is easily walkable, with venues between 1st St. and Eberwhite Woods, mostly housing two or more artists – the largest with about a dozen exhibitors is at Gretchen’s House Childcare Center, 700 Mount Vernon Ave, 48103. Art Hop maps are available online and local street signage provided a few days ahead. Parking is easy, on street or at Eberwhite or Bach schools – more options on the map online.
