Robert Provenzano, MD, FACP, FASN has been named to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (NKFM) volunteer Board of Directors. Dr. Provenzano is the chief medical officer, Nephrology Practice Solutions, a national kidney care management company; and vice president of medical affairs at DaVita Kidney Care. Provenzano is also a clinical professor of medicine at Wayne State University in Detroit, where he earned his medical degree.
Dr. Provenzano completed his Nephrology fellowship at Henry Ford Health System and served as the chief of the nephrology, hypertension, and transplantation at St. John Hospital & Medical Center in Detroit, MI.
His former leadership positions include president of the Renal Physicians Association, Board Chair of the NKFM, and CEO of St. Clair Specialty Physicians, PC, a multistate nephrology practice. In 2018, the Renal Physicians Association awarded Provenzano the Distinguished Nephrology Service Award. He has been an RPA member for more than 25 years and has served in multiple leadership roles.
