Soccer Preview: Greenhills has new coach and plenty of experience, talent

Johnny LeBlanc takes over the Greenhills soccer program and so far he likes what he sees.

“Our outlook is positive,” LeBlanc said. “Our team has a good core of returning leaders mixed with young talent. “We will continue to pin down positioning for the first couple weeks of the season.”

The Gryphons won Districts last year and back from that team are seniors Maya Behrend (center midfield), Emily Gitlin (center defender) and Catherine Ferrey (center back).

Greenhills opened the season April 2 against league opponent, St. Catherine of Siena.
