Gabby Toth and Esther Cohen each had three hits and Carson Fox threw a two-hitter through six innings as the Skyline softball team knocked off Bloomfield Hills 11-1 on Friday in a non-league game.
The Eagles pounded out 14 hits and committed just two errors in the game while holding Bloomfield Hills to two hits. Skyline led 3-1 after three innings before scoring four in the fourth inning to break open the game. They scored a run in every inning but the second.
Toth went 3-for-5, including a triple, with three runs scored and Cohen was 3-for-5 with three RBI. The hitting didn’t stop there. Carson Fox had two hits and an RBI. Madie Czjaka, Jordan Hall (two runs scored), Isabel Wroten, Makayla Klein, Neva Siers and Mayah Alam each had hits in the win.
Fox was dealing from the opening pitch. She allowed just two hits and one run over six innings and racked up 13 strikeouts and just one walk. Alam pitched in relief and had a perfect inning with three strikeouts.
