Track & Field: Skyline boys third, girls second at Whitmore Lake Trojan Relays

 

The Skyline boys’ track and field team finished with 50 points to take third overall at the Whitmore Lake Trojan Relays on Friday. Saline ran first with 69 points followed by Pinckney with 52 points.

Skyline varsity took first in the 4×100 relay with Jordan Wilson, Thomas Crawford, Savante Daniel and Davion Pipkins crossed in 43.90. The Eagles were fifth in the 4×100 freshman-sophomore relay with a time of 48.96.

Skyline varsity took first in the 4×200 relay with Jordan Wilson, Thomas Crawford, Savante Daniel and Johnathan Faulkner crossed in 1:33.48.

The Eagles were third in the 4×400 relay with a time of 3:38.99 and second in the 4×800 relay with a time of 8:35.05. The Eagles were third in both the SMR 100-300-600-200 relay in 2:48.41 and the DMR 1200-400-800-1600 in 11:22.02.

In the pole vault, Logan Clark was second (13-06).

GIRLS

Skyline girls’ finished second with 46 points at the Whitmore Lake Trojan Relays on Friday. Saline ran first with 76 points. Pinckney was third with 31 points and Dexter was fourth with 24 points.

The Eagles ran second in the 4×100 relay with a time of 51.89; the 4×200 relay with a time of 1:47.87; and the 4×400 relay with a time of 4:14.94.

The Skyline freshman/sophomore team of Felicity Sorenson, Sydney Cunningham, Paula Martinez-Cinta and Alexys Wilson were first in the 4×400 relay with a time of 4:14.71.

The Skyline varsity team was third in the 4×800 relay in 10:06.66.

The Eagles were fourth in the SMR 100-300-600-200 relay in 3:21.90 and took third in the DMR 1200-400-800-1600 in 13:42.84.

Skyline junior Janee Faulkner was first in the shot put (35-05.5) and junior Renee Faulkner was fourth (27-05). In the discus, Janee Faulkner was first (91-09) and Renee Faulkner was 10th (78-02). Skyline’s Felicity Sorenson was third (4-10) and Melissa Breiner was 10th (4-06). Skyline’s Sam Barber was fifth (9-06) in the pole vault.

In the long jump, Alexys Wilson was fifth (15-07), Karla Alvarado Del Real was seventh (15-0) and Melissa Breiner was ninth (14-10).
