Dexter Area Museum hosts “A Night at the Museum” on Friday, May 10

The Dexter Area Museum will host “A Night at the Museum” on Friday, May 10, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Dexter Area Museum, 3443 Inverness St. Dexter.

For those who have never been to the Museum, and for those who have visited before, this is an opportunity to come inside, meet us and see this wonderful collection of donated items.

This year the Museum is featuring a special exhibit of Family Bibles (including one that belonged to Wirt Dexter, son of Samuel Dexter).  You will also find Dexter area memorabilia, self-guided tours of the Museum, the Hoatlin model train, and refreshments which will include finger foods, desserts and wine.

A tax deductible donation of $25 per person is suggested.  Please call the Museum at 734-426-2519 or email DexMuseum@aol.com by May 6, 2019 for a reservation. Your tax deductible donation will help keep the Museum operating.

The Dexter Area Museum is housed in the old St. Andrew’s UCC Church which was built in 1883 and moved to its current location in 1974.  The historic collection of donated items is maintained by volunteers and we invite you to visit during our regular hours from 1 to 3 on Fridays and Saturdays, May through November.
