Track and Field: Dexter runs in the Eagle Last Chance Invite at Skyline

A few of the local teams, including the Dreadnaughts, ran off to Skyline on Saturday for the Eagle Last Chance Invite. Here are some of the local results.

Boys

In the 100 meters, Pioneer junior Jesse Li was first (11.78), Dexter’s Will Telesco was second (11.85), Pioneer’s Victor Parker was third (12.05), Pioneer’s Chandler Graham was fourth (12.10). Pioneer’s Andre James and Samson Dabney tied for fifth at 12.15.

In the 200 meters, Dabney was fourth (24.13) and Graham fifth (24.47) for Pioneer. Dexter’s Nathan Biggs was sixth (24.55).

Pioneer junior Jad Merie won the 400 meters in 55.26. Teammate Brenden Franklin was third (56.54) and Dexter’s Biggs was fourth (56.73). Pioneer’s Ali Fisher was sixth (57.47) and Skyline’s Jahi Hawkins was eighth (58.26).

Skyline’s TJ Dokas was third in the 800 in 2:02.11 with teammate Ian Steele in fourth in 2:02.17. Pioneer’s Drew Allen was sixth (2:02.37).

Pioneer senior Ethan Mielock was second in the 1600 meters in 4:31.29. Teammate Owen Johnson was third (4:38.71).

Dexter went one-two in the 3200 meters with sophomores Conor Kolka (9:57.12) and Sam Melvin (9:58.80). Pioneer’s Ben Jakabcsin was third in 10:07.23.

Skyline senior Matthew Scott won the 110 hurdles in 16.47. Teammate Crispin Carter was third in 18.97. Pioneer’s Nolan McPherson was sixth (20.70).

In the 300 hurdles, Scott also ran first in 43.49 with Carter second in 45.99. Dexter’s Cameron O’Day was third (46.21).

Pioneer was second in the 4×100 relay in 46.98. Dexter won the 4×200 relay in 1:41.96. Pioneer was second in the 4×400 relay in 3:46.84. And Dexter won the 4×800 relay in 10:32.18.

Dexter senior James Blankenship won the shot put (37-04). Teammate Andrew Zogaib was third (35-07.5).

Dexter senior Adam Greve won the discus (105-02.50) with Blankenship in second (97-06). Skyline’s Gage Robinson was fourth (86-06.5).

Dexter freshman Samuel Fitzpatrick won the high jump (5-04). Teammate Oliver Bishop was third (5-02).

Dexter took the top three spots in the pole vault. Henry Sheldon, Bishop and Cole Sheldon all went 13-06.

Girls

Dexter’s Molly Corcoran was second in the 100 meters (14.38). In the 200 meters, Skyline’s Mariel DeKeyzer was second (31.44) and teammate Allison Greenfield was third (32.82). Skyline’s Emily Burton was fifth (33.67).

In the 800 meters, Skyline senior Lillian Peck was first (2:23.70). Skyline’s Catrin Koselka was fourth (2:26.84) and teammate Laura O’Brien was fifth (2:26.88).

Dexter’s Ashley Mitchell was second in the 1600 meters (6:05.52) with teammate Abigail Fox third (6:08.43). Pioneer’s Paige Hockley was fourth (6:22.50) and Skyline’s Sierra Lubetkin was fifth (6:30.03).

Skyline sophomore Melissa Breiner was first in the 100 hurdles (18.41) and teammate and fellow sophomore Paula Martinez-Cinta was second (19.02). Dexter junior Molly Corcoran was third (19.45) and teammate and fellow junior Natalie Johnson was fourth (20.20). Dexter’s Emily Lyons was fifth (22.82).

Martinez-Cinta won the 300 hurdles in 49.49.

Skyline’s Lily Moore was sixth in the shot put (23-06) and Dexter’s Sydney Butler was seventh (23-01.5). Dexter’s Angel Palmer was sixth in the discus (68-01.5) with teammate Katie Krueger seventh (63-09). Skyline’s Lily Moore was eighth (53.09).

Dexter went one-two in the high jump with Emma Young (5-0) and Jennifer Bow (4-04).

Dexter’s Bow won the pole vault with a vault of 11-07. Teammate Josie Mettes was second (11-0) and teammate Sophia Mettes was third (10-06).
